A standard portable projector can look very bright in a poorly lit meeting room (typically 400 lux). But a bright sunny day can be over 240 times brighter i.e. greater than 100,000 lux! This fundamental misunderstanding, combined with a misunderstanding of projection screen technologies, partly explains the disappointment many businesses suffer when they install a window screen system, especially when using LCD or Plasma screens! Pictures and images tend to get washed out, lack colour and vibrancy and cannot be viewed from any great distance!

Also many projectors are not designed and, subsequently, not guaranteed to work the long hours that are required in a shop window environment, so when they break down they are often not covered by warranty!
